Any estimate, quote, or price range provided on our website or by phone is a preliminary estimate only and is not a binding contract. Final pricing is determined after an in-person site assessment by one of our licensed technicians.
A written estimate will be provided before any work begins. Work will not start until you have reviewed and accepted the written estimate. Changes to the scope of work during a project may result in additional costs, which will be communicated to you before the additional work is performed.
Prices are subject to change. Any estimate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
Appointments for estimates and service work are subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to keep scheduled appointments. If we need to reschedule, we will contact you as far in advance as possible.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling (213) 953-8101 or emailing info@southgateinsulation.com.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled service appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee, which will be communicated to you at the time of scheduling or in your written estimate.
Payment terms are as specified in your written estimate or service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee or referred to a collections process. You are responsible for any costs we incur to collect unpaid balances, including reasonable attorneys fees.
Certain insulation projects in California may require permits from local building departments. Where a permit is required, we will inform you and, unless otherwise agreed, obtain the necessary permit on your behalf as part of the project scope. You are responsible for ensuring that your property is accessible for any required inspections. We perform all work in accordance with applicable California building codes and energy efficiency standards.
We stand behind the quality of our work. Unless otherwise stated in your written estimate, our workmanship is warranted against defects in installation for one year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects directly resulting from our installation work. It does not cover:
Materials are subject to the manufacturer warranty of the product installed. We will provide product documentation upon request. This warranty is your exclusive remedy for workmanship defects and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

You agree to provide accurate information when requesting services and to disclose any known conditions of your property that may affect our work, including but not limited to mold, asbestos, pest infestations, or structural damage. Failure to disclose known conditions may affect your warranty coverage and could result in additional charges.
You are responsible for ensuring that our crew has safe and reasonable access to the work area on the scheduled service date, and that the work area is cleared of personal belongings as directed by our team prior to work beginning.

If we are unable to resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to attempt non-binding mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal action must be brought within one year of the date the claim arose.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
